This is an interesting project.

We are building a home full of examples of sustainability: geothermal heating and cooling...a metal roof...structurally insulated panels (SIP)...locally harvested lumber...indigenous vegetation that requires minimal maintenance...

All this and a design that integrates into its surroundings (when viewed from outside) while embracing those surroundings (when viewed from the inside looking out.)

We believe the "prow" of the house reflects this combination of being open and being snug. You'll see that prow - the w-like shape at the top of each of these pages - show up in many parts of this website and our home.
